CJTF-HOA welcomes new 449th AEG commander

U.S. Air Force Col. Michael Bruzzini assumed command of the 449th Air Expeditionary Group from U.S. Air Force Col. Daniel Duffy during the 449th AEG Change of Command ceremony June 6, 2016, at Camp Lemmonier, Djibouti. U.S. Air Force Col. Andra Kniep, 435th Air Expeditionary Wing commander, served as the presiding officer for the ceremony.
Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa welcomed U.S. Army Brig. Gen Kurt L. Sonntag and said farewell to U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Mark Stammer during a change of command ceremony April 13, 2016, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. U.S. Army Gen. David M. Rodriguez, commanding general for U.S. Africa Command, presided over the ceremony.
Within hours of being notified, CJTF-HOA’s East Africa Response Force prepared dozens of Soldiers and tons of supplies for takeoff during an emergency response exercise, validating the EARF’s rapid response capabilities.

So, when Combined Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) leadership recently welcomed members of the Djibouti Armed Forces (FAD) into the U.S. Marine Corps Corporals Course, it was a distinct honor.
