I intend to send a note to all of you about every eight weeks or so. While we are blessed with pretty good phone and internet connectivity here in Djibouti, I think it’s important that you hear from me – from time to time – about all the great things your loved ones are doing here in Africa.
The work being done here IS important to all Americans. It is worth the sacrifice that you make each day, enabling us to perform our missions here. I do my best to thank everyone for their service when I meet them here; and this is my opportunity to thank YOU for your service and to highlight what we are doing on the ground in East Africa.
