U.S. Navy Chaplain (Lieutenant) Phil Lieberman visited Jewish service members from Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa and Camp Lemonnier in preparation for Passover, the feast that celebrates the Jewish people's liberation from slavery in ancient Egypt. Lieberman first performed a service March 22, 2013, observing Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest. The following day he taught a class about Seder, which is a Jewish ritual feast that marks the beginning of Passover.
