General Dahir Adan Elmi, the chief of defense for Somali Armed Forces, and MG Terry Ferrell, commander, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, met together at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, May 29-30 to improve cooperation and develop a foundation for a more formalized military-to-military relationship between their two countries.

Incoming EARF completes validation, demonstrates crisis response capability

Within hours of being notified, CJTF-HOA’s East Africa Response Force prepared dozens of Soldiers and tons of supplies for takeoff during an emergency response exercise, validating the EARF’s rapid response capabilities.
