AFRICOM trainers share logistics expertise with Somali National Army partners, first class graduates

U.S. Ambassador to Somalia Stephen Schwartz speaks with U.S. Army Capt. Seth Church, 101st Airborne Division, 426th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, training team officer in charge of a logistics training course, following a graduation ceremony on May 24, 2017, in Mogadishu, Somalia, where nearly 60 Somali National Army soldiers received their certificates of completion. Lapse In Appropriations
The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
