US Soldiers, French marines dive into French Commando Course prequalification assessment

U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 144th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Bayonet, Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti and French marines assigned to the 5th Overseas Interarms Regiment, Djibouti, watch a demonstration of an underwater obstacle during a French Desert Commando Course prequalification assessment at Montclair, Djibouti, Nov. 22, 2017. The service members had to complete several water-based obstacles as a prerequisite for participating in the two-week French Desert Commando Course, which includes desert, water, and mountain portions.
