CJTF-HOA works with Marines, French in Alligator Dagger
Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa
Alligator Dagger, led by Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, is a dedicated, bilateral combat rehearsal that combines U.S. and French forces to practice, rehearse and exercise integrated capabilities available to U.S. Central Command both afloat and ashore.
Members of CJTF-HOA recently completed the French Desert Commando Course.
U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to 3rd Battalion, 144th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Bayonet and French marines assigned to 5th Overseas Interarms Regiment dove into a water-based French Desert Commando Course prequalification assessment.
Initiated by the Japanese military, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) supported a joint-nation noncombatant evacuation operation (NEO) exercise and training here, Sept. 29.
