403rd Civil Affairs Functional Specialty Team conducts Combat Lifesaver Course for Italian partners

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Duan Erzell, a communication’s specialist with the 403rd Civil Affairs (CA) Battalion, participates in a tourniquet application demonstration as a simulated casualty during a Combat Lifesaver Course (CLS) at Base Militar Italiano de Supporte, Djibouti, Jan. 15, 2019. The visits were part of an East Africa trip aimed to strengthen America’s strategic approach to confronting terrorism through mutual engagement, stronger cooperation, and aligned security priorities.
