U.S. Soldiers, Sailors and Marines participated in the Joint Light Leaders Course to learn fundamentals of infantry tactics, planning, and leadership to build a cohesive relationship across branches to support operations and plans in East Africa.
Task Force Associator Replaces Task Force Paxton as East Africa’s Newest Security Forces Unit
CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti – The Pennsylvania National Guard’s Task Force Associator was officially given responsibility for the security mission in East Africa from Task Force Paxton, another Pennsylvania National Guard Unit, during a transfer of authority ceremony Oct. 21, 2024.
U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Michael Langley, commander of U.S. Africa Command, presided over the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa change of command from U.S. Army Maj. Gen.
