Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa Image

A bell that rang four times to honor the flights that were downed during the 9/11 attacks on America hangs silently during a remembrance ceremony held Sept. 11, 2016, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The visits were part of an East Africa trip aimed to strengthen America’s strategic approach to confronting terrorism through mutual engagement, stronger cooperation, and aligned security priorities.
