726th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron contingency contracting officers expand vendor base with new asset

U.S. Air Force Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa contingency contracting officers, 726th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron, pose with Camp Lemonnier contractors for a photo next to the new contracting bulletin board, Dec. 6, 2016, in Djibouti, Djibouti. The contract bulletin board is posted in a gathering area of the local community and provides Djiboutian businesses with easier access to information and contacts for contracting opportunities. This project aligns with the "Djiboutian First" legislation, which supports the economy of Djibouti by providing qualified businesses with contractual preference. U.S. Air Force Gen. Dagvin Anderson, commander, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), and AFRICOM senior leaders, conducted a series of high-level visits to Africa with stops in Ethiopia, Somaliland and Puntland, Nov. 23-27, 2025. The visits were part of an East Africa trip aimed to strengthen America’s strategic approach to confronting terrorism through mutual engagement, stronger cooperation, and aligned security priorities.
