CJTF-HOA Task Force Alamo Soldiers compete for German Armed Forces Badge

U.S. Army Spc. John Goldthorn, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-141st Infantry Regiment, Task Force Alamo, Texas National Guard, assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), Djibouti, competes in a swim competition for the German Armed Forces Badge (GAFB) for Military Proficiency in Djibouti, Jan. 16, 2019. The GAFB is awarded to and worn by German service members of all ranks. Allied service members may also be awarded the badge, subject to their nations' uniform regulations.
