Seabee Transfer of Authority Ceremony

U.S. Navy Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), present the colors during a transfer-of-authority ceremony at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Feb. 11, 2019. The NMCB 1 transferred authority of building and improving facilities on base and in the combined joint operations area and area of interest to the U.S. Army 465th Engineer Company, 926th Engineer Battalion, 926th Engineer Brigade, 412th Theater Engineer Command, based in Birmingham, Alabama, assigned to CJTF-HOA. US AFRICOM Commander Visits East Africa Region
U.S. Air Force Gen. Dagvin Anderson, commander, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), and AFRICOM senior leaders, conducted a series of high-level visits to Africa with stops in Ethiopia, Somaliland and Puntland, Nov. 23-27, 2025. The visits were part of an East Africa trip aimed to strengthen America’s strategic approach to confronting terrorism through mutual engagement, stronger cooperation, and aligned security priorities.
