Combined Joint Task Force - Horn

U.S Army Capt. Fermin Cardenas and Sgt. 1st Class Neil Griffin, command team for the 712th Engineer Support Company, Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), uncase their unit colors during a transfer of authority ceremony at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Oct. 20, 2021. The ceremony highlighted the transfer of the engineering mission from the 377th Engineer Vertical Construction Company to the 712th ESC. US AFRICOM Commander Visits East Africa Region
U.S. Air Force Gen. Dagvin Anderson, commander, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), and AFRICOM senior leaders, conducted a series of high-level visits to Africa with stops in Ethiopia, Somaliland and Puntland, Nov. 23-27, 2025. The visits were part of an East Africa trip aimed to strengthen America’s strategic approach to confronting terrorism through mutual engagement, stronger cooperation, and aligned security priorities.
