Sometimes items commonly taken for granted become more significant in the deployed environment. Take, for example, a simple T-shirt. The U.S. Navy's assistant command fitness leaders at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, used tenacity and resolve to solve a shirt situation with the help of the professional military associations here.

More than a year of military service as commanding general of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa draws to a close for Maj. Gen. Kurt Sonntag, as the task force prepares to transition to a new leadership team.
