CJTF-HOA works with U.S. Embassy Tanzania in exercise to maintain regional readiness

U.S. Military service members from Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), will conduct a long standing pre-planned exercise with the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania in support of security cooperation efforts for the region and enhancing the Tanzania crisis response capabilities. The exercise is conducted by the East Africa Response Force in collaboration with the Tanzania’s People Defense Forces.

CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti -- U.S. Military service members from Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), will conduct a long standing pre-planned exercise with the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania in support of security cooperation efforts for the region and enhancing the Tanzania crisis response capabilities. The exercise is conducted by the East Africa Response Force in collaboration with the Tanzania’s People Defense Forces.


The Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise (EDRE) ensures CJTF-HOA and the U.S. Embassy are primed to handle any potential crisis, enabling them to maintain crucial operations or facilitate safe evacuations if needed.

 

CJTF-HOA conducts operations to enhance partner nation capacity, promote regional stability, dissuade conflict, and protect U.S. and coalition interests, primarily in the East Africa region.
