Task Force Iron Gray conducts joint combined arms live-fire with French forces

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to various companies from Task Force Iron Gray, in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), and French Soldiers assigned to the 5th Overseas Interarms Regiment (5e RIAOM) participated in a joint combined arms live-fire training exercise at the Djiboutian RangeComplex, Djibouti, Aug. 11, 2021. This joint training exercise allowed both French and U.S. forces to work together to build regional cooperation and improve each nation's fighting force.(Video by U.S Air Force Staff Sgt. US AFRICOM Commander Visits East Africa Region
U.S. Air Force Gen. Dagvin Anderson, commander, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), and AFRICOM senior leaders, conducted a series of high-level visits to Africa with stops in Ethiopia, Somaliland and Puntland, Nov. 23-27, 2025.
