The Soldiers hosted the run to show support of their Law Enforcement members stateside that have held a Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run in Connecticut for the past 35 years.

Airfield operations brings order to down-range airstrip

When the Soldiers of the 2-111th Airfield Operations Battalion (AOB) found out they were deploying to Manda Bay Airstrip, Kenya, a recently reactivated camp, they knew there would be a lot of work to be done. Since arriving, the Soldiers of the 2-111th AOB, in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), have worked diligently to ensure the aircraft that fly in and out of Manda Bay Airstrip do so in a safe and efficient airfield.

Civil Affairs soldiers conduct English discussion groups in Djibouti

U.S. Army Soldiers with Civil Affairs East Africa (CA-EA), a forward deployed element of Southern European Task Force - Africa (SETAF-AF) in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), participated in information exchanges called English discussion groups (EDG) at schools and learning centers in Djibouti. Civil Affairs soldiers helped create an environment that encourages continued learning and potential economic growth in the local populace.

U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 75th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron (EAS) and the 82nd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron (ERQS) conducted an airdrop and air land operation at Grand Bara, Djibouti, March 9, 2021.
